There are several places of interest less than an hour’s drive from Pieve:
- Bolgheri, an ancient medieval village, famous for its breathtaking views and vineyards, can be reached by following the suggestive straight road, about 5 kilometers long, of Viale dei Cipressi, along which there are more than 2,000 centuries-old cypress trees.
Bolgheri is also famous for the fine wines produced in the area, including: Sassicaia di Tenuta San Guido, based on Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, the wines of Ornellaia and Masseto, Guado al Tasso, Le Macchiole, Grattamacco and Michele Satta.

- Livorno, whose origins are lost in legends and mythology, seat of the historic Maritime Republic and today a port of primary importance as well as home to the Naval Academy
- Piombino, a city of Etruscan origins, is one of the most important Italian ports for passenger traffic and an opportunity to embark for the nearby:
- Elba Island, the largest island of the Tuscan Archipelago, a renowned point of reference for tourism, history and nature
Lago Boracifero is only the first stage of the extensive geothermal reality of the territory:
- the archaeological site of the Etruscan Sacred-Thermal Complex testifies to the importance of this area over the centuries
- The Biancane Geothermal Natural Park offers the opportunity for spectacular trips, with the possibility of visiting the MUBIA museum located right next to the Chiorba Spring
